On a generally accepted accounting principles basis, the company posted a loss of $40 million, or 49 cents a share, which includes deferred compensation, amortization of goodwill and other intangibles. In the year-ago period, the company posted net income of $12.9 million, or 17 cents a share. Revenue totaled $52.7 million, down 5 percent compared with the year-ago total of $55.5 million. Shares closed up 23 percent to $24.65.

"On a generally accepted accounting principles basis..." Ну, много говорилось про творческий подход к аккаунтингу. Но с каких пор прибыль показывают *одновременно* по 2-м разным принципам? 9 центов плюс или 49 центов минус - не хвост собачий разница... Как это можно объяснить, для чего это делать одновременно, какой смысл, кого хотят обмануть? Законно ли это? А о перспективах компании с таким аккаунтингом что можно сказать? После отчета +22% на тяжелом объеме за день, причем из очень растянутого чарта (100% за 2 недели) :-()
