How I use the information:
a fixed 28 day RP over 2 billion normally gives the market a + bias.
O/N RP of greater than 4.5 will also help the market go up.

Under 3 billion sideways or lower.

how long can they keep it up?

The moment they pull the plug, watch the market go down. A good indicator.
As they say, why fight the fed. I rely more on charts, but it is a number to keep handy.
Just like the volatility index. It helps gives direction, but no guarantee.

Updates occur reguarly, normally early in the day and somewhere around noon and after the market.
Sometimes they will delay the information until after the market closes.
But on a daily/weekly basis, it gives a view of what the fed is doing."
