нашел подтверждение своих мыслей про йену. the Nikkei’s current level leaves many Japanese banks insolvent due to the fall in the value of the shares on their books, and the Japanese year-end at the end of this month is fast approaching where those banks must mark their positions to market. Now, my thinking is that these banks have likely been selling US assets for some time (that means stocks AND treasuries), and are waiting to repatriate the money when the yen has fallen sufficiently against the dollar so as to increase the bang to their balance sheets.
