McDonald's (MCD) and Procter & Gamble (PG) are following in the
footsteps of other corporate giants Du Pont (DD) and IBM (IBM) who
said earlier this week that they would be negatively impacted by
weak overseas currencies and foreign exchange problems. The
corporate giants with extensive overseas operations claim earnings
will suffer once revenues are exchanged into relatively stronger
dollars. This is clearly a sign of corporate mismanagement and
shows a failure to properly manage shareholder's equity. Firms with
extensive overseas management have reams of data and extensive
resources at their disposal to properly hedge such foreign exchange
exposure. Courses are taught in these subjects in undergraduate
business schools
